GIMP Free Alternative to Photoshop

Gimp is an open source alternative to Photoshop. It does everything that Photoshop does, including photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. You can resize images, feather edges, erase, fill, magnify, and select portions of your images using the lasso tool. You can also create layers and add text to your images.

Digital Camera Classes

As we come to the end of our first session of digital camera classes, I'm excited about the progress we've made and I look forward to our second session next school year. While not a photographer beyond chroncling family events, I enoy my digital camera and frequently heard from students whose children had gifted them with a "contraption I can't use". I wanted my students to be able to make use of these fabulous (and expensive) tools. I built the lesson modules from a beginner's point of view and we covered a lot of material in our 6 lessons (most classes ran 2 weeks). My goal of getting the students comfortable with their camera and familiar with the terminology was accomplished.

A few students and I have discussed staying in touch over the spring and summer. Please send me your e-mail address if you'd like to be included.

I'm looking now to build next year's lesson modules. Please comment here if you have ideas for classes you'd like me to offer next year.

The use of anti-virus software is essential to the well-being of your computer. I've always used AVG and I've never had a virus infection.

Regardless of which anti-virus software you use, remember to update it every day.
